2025 Entry Fees & Instructions - 37th Annual SAM Awards
1. Eligibility:
Builder Categories (100-317 inclusive). All products or projects built and marketed in New Jersey by a builder member in good standing of the New Jersey Builders Association are eligible.
Associate Categories (100 and 501-618 inclusive). All products or services provided and marketed in New Jersey by an associate member in good standing of the New Jersey Builders Association are eligible.
2. Entries: A separate entry form must be submitted for each category entered. Be sure to complete the entire entry form for each submission.
3. Entry Materials: Be sure to include all of the items required for submission in each category. All entries must be submitted through the online portal.
All visual objects contained in the photo must physically exist (i.e. removal of product logos from windows is satisfactory, moving furniture within a room or adding landscaping is not.) Judges will not be able to view incomplete entries. All entry materials will become the property of the New Jersey Builders Association and will not be returned.
4. Entry Fees:
All payments must be made through the portal. Once payment is received, you will be able to complete the entry forms and upload the required material.
5. Deadline: All completed entry forms and material must be submitted online by 5 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2024 with NO EXCEPTIONS.
6. Judging: Each entry will be judged on its merits by a panel of qualified judges who are recognized for their expertise in the industry. NJBA reserves the right to create new categories if the judges believe it is warranted. Judges may re-categorize an entry if they believe it has been entered in the wrong category or is better suited to another category. Special Awards may be presented at the Judges' discretion.
In all instances, the decisions of the judges are final.

100 - Above & Beyond Community Service Award for a Builder or Associate Member
Judging Criteria: Not for profit driven service, event or project provided by an NJBA Member for the overall benefit of a Community, Organization or Individual. Impact, benefit and results of the project or service.
Submission Requirements: Completed Entry Form (no fee required), written description noting recipient and scope of work. Supporting material of the service, event or project may include video, photos and correspondence and at least one image that represents the entry.
101 - Community of the Year For a Community of 50 Homes or Less
Judging Criteria: The Grand Award will be presented to the community that earns the highest total score in the 5 required categories. If entering more than the required categories, the entry that scores the highest within each group will be used toward the Grand Award calculation.
Submission Requirements: Completed Community of the Year Grand Award Entry Form (no additional fee for this category). At least one entry in the following Categories: 1. Marketing Strategy (236 to 238) 2. Product Design (301 to 309).
